A 37 Years old Geek

Life can be interesting in many ways, such as one example that if you are smart or highly intelligent people are going to associate you with being social introvert, keen to role playing, being someone with certain body dimension because of the lack exercise and an inflated ego because your biggest achievement in life is to be the master in Dungeons and Dragons or any other role playing game; maybe the validity of the stereotype is based mostly on the incident of the imagery of Hollywood toward people with high I.Q. and we can blame the viewers and the media as well.

But sometimes it’s more probable to guess that beside intelligence the classical geek stereotype it’s based on people who have low stem, personal body issues and they try to express dominance because their major achievements are related to role paying just to fulfill the many voids they have in their personal lives. It’s really shameful that the classical 7 art stereotype is the mostly to be associate with the high I.Q. characteristic; I can say I’m smart, well educated and I don’t like being seated for hours playing a role playing game, I’m more proactive than that and I’m way more social than staying in one single place being insulted by a 40 year old Virgin.

Today I had an unusual encounter that I found amusing and lame, a classical stereotype, it was a 37 years old individual with certain body dimension (a priori look gave me the idea that he didn’t any glandular problem, big bones or he was gainer, just a lazy ass who’s most challenging exercise was going from his desk to the restroom) who said to me that I was cheapskate, well the only thing I could did back was replied like a gentleman because I wasn’t going to flunk my reputation… but also one part of being intelligent is to know how to behave in social situations to show that you are an articulated individual and not a grown up who tends to act and dress like an adolescent in heat.
