The Assasins of the Khmer Rouge

Published by glequericac at 12:26 pm under Culture, Politics Edit This

This note posted in the Tampa Tribune is interesting because after almost 30 years the Khmer Rouge leaders (not Pot Pol, he is dead since 1998) are going to be judged by the crimes they committed against humanity. Is incredible to think that assassins like that, responsible for the dead of more than 1.7 millions of Cambodians hasn’t been judged until now, what people in the international courts had been thinking about these people, and why it took a while?, nobody understand it really and the question that is on many people mind is why only 5 people of a large group are going to be judged? We don’t get it.
